Full-Perforation Metal Speaker Grill – Holes Edge to Edge, Cost-Effective
Custom metal speaker grill with full-perforation design – holes go all the way to the edge, no solid border. Stamped from 0.7mm steel with 1.5mm round holes, finished in black powder coating.
Because there’s no solid frame around the holes, the tooling is simpler and the piece price is lower. A cost-effective choice for large openings, hidden grilles, or applications where a clean open surface matters more than a framed border.
(Material: Steel | Thickness: 0.7mm | Hole: 1.5mm | Finish: Black Powder Coating | Feature: Full Perforation – No Border | Cost: Lower tooling & piece price)
Steel Speaker Grill with Solid Border & Logo Plate – Brand-Ready Design
Custom steel speaker grill featuring a solid border (non-perforated frame) and a designated area for a logo badge or nameplate. Stamped from steel with a circular perforation pattern. Finished in black powder coating – or your choice of color.
The solid border adds rigidity and a finished look. The logo recess tells your customer: this is not a generic part. Higher tooling cost, higher piece price – but the right choice when your brand needs to be seen.
(Material: Steel | Feature: Solid Border + Logo Area | Process: Stamping | Hole Pattern: Circular | Finish: Powder Coating – Custom Color)

Frequently Asked Questions – Custom Metal Speaker Grill
What's the difference between steel and stainless steel for a custom metal speaker grill?
Steel + powder coating – Cost-effective, strong, any color. Best for indoor: speaker cabinets, car interiors, home audio.
Stainless steel – Premium corrosion resistance, no coating needed. Best for outdoor, marine, high-humidity.
Aluminum – Lightweight, corrosion-resistant. Best for weight-sensitive applications.
Tell us your environment. We’ll recommend the right metal speaker grill material.
What is open area percentage? Why does it matter for a perforated steel speaker grill?
Open area is the percentage of the grill surface that is hole — not solid metal. For example, 60% open area means 60% of the sheet is holes, 40% is metal.
Why it matters:
Higher open area (60–75%) = more sound passes through, less attenuation. Best for PA speakers, subwoofers, and high-SPL applications.
Lower open area (40–55%) = more protection, less transparency. Best for outdoor, industrial, or high-impact environments.
For most speaker cabinets and automotive applications, we recommend 55–65% open area — the sweet spot between sound clarity and protection. We can calculate it based on your hole diameter and spacing, or adjust both to hit your target open area.
metal speaker screen vs metal speaker grill
They’re the same thing — just different names. Some call it a grill, others call it a screen. If you search for metal speaker grill or metal speaker screen, you’re looking at the same product: a perforated metal sheet that protects a speaker while letting sound through. We make both. Or rather, we make the one product that goes by both names.
Why should I choose a custom metal speaker grill instead of buying a ready-made one?
Because a stock grill forces you to fit your product around someone else’s dimensions.
With a custom metal speaker grill, you control: outer dimensions, hole size and pattern, material and thickness, edge design, finish, and logo placement. The grille is the face of your speaker. Don’t let a standard part define it.
