Why Choose Us for Your Loudspeaker Grilles?
1. 20 years of pure focus on loudspeaker grilles – we’ve seen (and solved) every quality problem.
Two decades of non-stop manufacturing mean we’ve encountered every possible defect, fit issue, and material failure. Those hard lessons are now built into our process – so you get grilles that simply work.2. Extreme efficiency from doing one thing for 20 years.
Because we make nothing but metal speaker grilles, we’ve optimized every step. The result: competitive unit prices, lower tooling costs, and faster turnaround than general stamping shops.3. No MOQ – order exactly what you need.
Whether you need 10 pieces for a prototype or 10,000 for production, we welcome your business. No minimum order quantity, no pressure.4. In-house tooling – lower cost, faster lead time.
We design and fabricate all tooling internally. That means no third-party delays and no markup. Your molds are ready sooner and cost less.5. Fast sampling – get your design in hand within days.
Send us a drawing or an existing sample. We’ll produce a custom sample quickly (typically 5–7 days) so you can test fit and finish before mass production.6. Rapid quoting – no waiting for days.

Frequently Asked Questions – Custom Loudspeaker Grilles
Why should I choose you as my loudspeaker grille manufacturer?
We’ve been making loudspeaker grilles for over 20 years. We are a one-stop solution manufacturer — not just a stamping shop.
We help you choose the right process based on your quantity, thickness, hole size, and budget:
Low volume / prototype: CNC machining — no tooling cost, fast turnaround.
Small holes / thin material: Chemical etching — clean edges, burr-free, complex patterns.
High volume: Stamping (tooling) — lowest unit cost, best for production runs.
With 20 years of experience, we know what works and what doesn’t. We give you the most economical and reliable production solution — so you avoid trial and error, save cost, and move your project faster.
Stamping vs etching: which is better for thick loudspeaker grilles?
For loudspeaker grilles that are large in size and thick in material (1.0mm and above) , stamping is the better choice. Here’s why etching is rarely used for this type:
1. Etching cannot fully penetrate thick materials
Chemical etching works best on thin sheets — typically under 0.8mm. For 1.0mm, 1.2mm, or thicker steel, etching becomes unreliable, slow, and often fails to achieve clean through-holes.
2. Etching cost increases exponentially with size and thickness
The etching process requires expensive chemicals, masking, and longer exposure times for thicker material. For large-format grilles, the chemical and disposal costs make it commercially impractical.
Bottom line: Etching is excellent for thin, precision, small-hole applications (0.3mm–0.8mm material). Stamping is the right choice for large, thick, high-strength loudspeaker grilles.
Why are most stage loudspeaker grilles made of steel (iron), not stainless steel or aluminum?
A: Large-format stage grilles (for concerts, KTV, stadiums) are almost always made of steel. Here’s why:
1. Cost — stainless steel is significantly more expensive
Stage grilles are often large — sometimes 500mm × 1000mm or bigger. Stainless steel (SUS 304/316) costs 2–3x more than carbon steel. For large grilles, the material cost difference adds up quickly. Steel gets the job done at a fraction of the price.
2. Aluminum lacks the strength for large-stage applications
Aluminum is lightweight and corrosion-resistant, but it’s also softer and less rigid than steel. For large grilles that need to withstand road cases, stagehands, and crowd impact, aluminum bends and dents too easily. Steel provides the strength and dent resistance that touring and installed PA systems require.
3. Steel is easier to form and stretch
Mild steel (e.g., Q235 / SPCC / DC01) has excellent ductility and elongation — typically 20–30% before breaking. This means it can be:
Deep drawn into complex 3D shapes
Stretched into curved or domed grilles
Formed with tight radii without cracking
Stainless steel has lower formability (higher work hardening rate), requiring more powerful presses and frequent annealing. Aluminum can crack during deep drawing, especially on thicker gauges.
Where can I find reliable loudspeaker grille manufacturers / factories?
That’s a common question — and the answer reveals how this industry actually works.
1. Most loudspeaker grilles are NOT imported directly.
Unlike consumer goods, loudspeaker grilles are rarely sold as standalone retail products. Most are custom-made for speaker brands and OEM assembly plants. You won’t find them on Alibaba or Amazon the way you’d find a phone case.
2. Most of the world’s loudspeaker grilles are made in China.
China produces the vast majority of finished speakers — from car audio and home theater to PA and stage systems. As a result, most loudspeaker grille manufacturers are already locked into supply chains serving local assembly plants (e.g., JBL, BYD, Harman, Bose contract manufacturers). These factories don’t market overseas because they don’t need to — their production is fully booked by domestic OEMs.
3. Jetray is one of the few source factories actively serving overseas buyers.
Most grille factories are invisible to the international market. They sell locally, don’t have export experience, and don’t speak English. Jetray is different. We are a source factory that:
Has 20+ years of loudspeaker grille manufacturing experience
Supplies tier-1 assembly plants (indirectly serving global brands)
Speaks English, understands export documentation, and ships worldwide
Takes low MOQ (10 pieces) and offers CNC / etching / stamping based on your volume
Bottom line: If you’re looking for a loudspeaker grille manufacturer outside China’s local OEM network, Jetray is one of your few direct options. We don’t sell stock grilles — we build to your drawing and help you choose the right process.
